Wayne George Obituary

Wayne George, affectionately known to many as “Clevo”, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at the age of 73.

Born on March 26, 1953, in Brooklyn, Wayne was the beloved son of the late Ida Dowling and Timothy George. He was a loving brother to Ann, Billy, Patricia, and Rachel, and was preceded in death by his sisters Barbara and Betty.

Wayne attended P.S. 243, J.H.S. 210, and later Boys High School in Brooklyn, New York. Raised in the Baptist faith, he carried his beliefs with quiet strength throughout his life.

Wayne was known for his humor and ability to make those around him laugh. He enjoyed spending time playing basketball, singing, drawing, and swimming. His warm spirit and lighthearted personality left lasting memories with family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Although Wayne had no spouse or children of his own, he was deeply loved by his family and held a special place in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. His presence, laughter, and wisdom will be greatly missed.

Wayne George’s memory will continue to live on through the stories shared, the love he gave, and the joy he brought into the lives of others.

May he rest in eternal peace.
