Rudene McKay Marshall Obituary
Rudene McKay Marshall, a steady presence in the lives of so many, was born January 13, 1965. The sun set for her on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
Rudene lived in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, but was born in Brooklyn, New York to Minnie Lee Sinkler McKay and Louis McKay. She attended Thomas Jefferson High School and then went on to graduate from LaGuardia Community College where she obtained her Associate’s degree in 1987. Rudene then went on to work in corporate America, which included time at Coopers & Lybrand and JPMorgan. However, she spent the last thirty-four years of her career at S&P Global/CBRE. Beyond her job responsibilities, it was the relationships built with clients and colleagues that anchored her there. Rudene was known for her friendliness, dedication, and professionalism.
On a spiritual level, Rudene was a long-time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York where she worshipped regularly.
Rudene was preceded in death by her father Louis McKay and her nephew Quadri Jackson. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Roderick Marshall; her daughter Tatiana Thomas; her mother Minnie McKay; her sister Wanda McKay; two brothers: Godfrey McKay (and his wife Deborah) and Terry McKay (and his wife Magdelene); her son-in law Antonio Thomas; her stepson Jamaal; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, godsons: Kyle Brown and Rashid Pierre; along with a host of other family members and friends who will carry her memory forward through stories, laughter and the small everyday moments.
Rudene enjoyed spending time outdoors, and enjoyed baking and cooking. If you ever visited her home, you were sure to have had a homemade meal, definitely a cup of coffee, and warm conversation.
Rudene will surely be missed by all.
