Lloyd George Kentish, 91, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at his home in Brooklyn, New York.
Lloyd, also known as “Mass Lloyd”, was born on December 17, 1928 to Gimima Brown and Zedepha Phillip Kentish in Chigwell, Hanover, Jamaica, West Indies. He attended Gurneys Mount All- Age School.
On April 26, 1967, Lloyd married Enid Iona Bowen in Bamboo, Jamaica. He was a farmer, chauffeur and building superintendent who enjoyed swimming and playing cricket.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-three years, Enid Kentish; his siblings: Godfrey Morrison, Keith Morrison, Leon Morrison, Neville Morrison, Oral Kentish, Shirley Kentish, Vinette Morrison and Sheila Kentish; his children: Junior Kentish, Carlon Kentish, Paulette Kentish, Michelle Kentish, Conrad Kentish and Barbara Kentish; his grandchildren: Magdalee Rooney, Monique Thompson, Wallace Kentish, Imani Robinson, Joseph Bull, Christina Smythe, Carlon Kentish Jr., Quacey Bull, Darnell Thompson, Brianna Bull, Jalen Robinson, Jasmyn Kentish and Taman Kentish; great-grandchildren: Amanda Rooney, Jerome Rooney, Jr. and Adonis Gause; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
