Born on April 25, 1971 to Linwood Sanders and Linda Diane Houser, Lamont Earl Houser a.k.a. “L.A.”, was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was their oldest and only boy.
L.A. grew up in the Crown-Heights section of Brooklyn – Franklin Avenue and Eastern Parkway to be exact. He had the biggest heart. He loved everyone and showed everyone love. Whenever he was around, there were guaranteed laughs and smiles. L.A. loved to show off, and loved to be the center of attention. He had style and swag, and when he got dressed up, he made sure everyone saw and noticed him.
L.A. was known for being charismatic and humorous. He had a smile that would light up a room, which made him the lady’s man. Although he never married, there was one special lady who was by his side for many years and through his latter trying times.
L.A. was a protector of his loved ones and didn’t hesitate to prove it. Even in his protective nature, L.A. had a way of introducing humor into any situation and easing any tension in the air. Despite the path he chose, Lamont wanted more for his children, and tried to emphasize this as often as possible.
On Wednesday, April 7, 2021, Lamont departed this life. He was preceded in death by his father, but leaves to mourn and cherish his memories, his mother Linda (Kamau Henderson); his sister who was his protector and his keeper Veronica (Bo Robinson); his baby sister Lesli (“Lee Lee”) Williams; his three children -- twin boys: Lamar and Lamont, and his daughter Angel; his significant other Larhonda Campbell and her children and family; four grandchildren: Lashiya, Devon, Karmorion, and Kamren; his nephews: Timothy and Amir; his nieces: Lashay, Shanice, Shadae, Alayjah and Tyler; great-nephews: Jaylen, Khalil and Kanon; great-nieces: Kamille, Khalilah and Rain; several aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and plenty of friends who were more like extended family.
