James A. Parra Obituary

Avonne Singleton, born in Fayetteville, NC, lived a vibrant and colorful life defined by creativity, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to helping others feel beautiful inside and out. A licensed cosmetologist since 2018, Avonne found her calling in the art of beauty, ultimately creating Omni Beauty by Avonne—a sanctuary of natural skincare and holistic care, devoted to celebrating every body and soul.

Grounded in a strong and abiding faith, Avonne was also a passionate advocate for the transgender community, using her voice and her gifts to uplift others and fight for dignity and inclusion. Her radiant energy, gentle spirit, and artistry touched all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the confidence she instilled in her clients, the joy she brought to her family and friends, and the love she shared freely and fiercely.

She is lovingly remembered by her parents, Yvonne and Bernard Ford; her birth father, Augusto Parra; her siblings, Desmond Ford and Gabby Parra; and a wide circle of devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

Her light continues to shine in the lives she graced. A memorial service will be held this summer.
