Gregoria Cartagena (Known as Gloria)


Born in Utuado Puerto Rico. Gregoria Cartagena, beloved mother of Brooklyn New York peacefully passed away on the morning of Friday June 27, 2025, at her daughter’s home in New Jersey due to complications of a stroke. She was 84 years old. Leaving a great void her family cannot fill.


Gloria as she was called was a kind, loving, and nurturing mother and friend. She was known for her caring and generous nature. She was always there to support those in need who came to her for love and comfort. She liked to dance, cook, and to travel to Puerto Rico to visit family, and loved her prayer groups at St.Teresa of Avila Church. She was a devoted Catholic and parishioner at St. Teresa of Avila for over 50 years.


Now she will be reunited with our father her husband and sister Pablo and Carmen in Heaven.


Gloria is survived by her 3 children Lourdes, Pablo Jr and Yolanda. Grandchildren; Christopher, Mark, Isabella, Erica, and Jordan. Great Grandchildren; Cali Rose and Christian James. Sisters; Migdalia and Rosa.


As the matriarch of our family, she will be deeply missed by all those she loved and nurtured throughout her beautiful life. We love you Mami, Rest in Peace
