Ghislaine St. Albord passed away peacefully on March 25, 2023, at Four Seasons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Ghislaine was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on January 29, 1954, to the late Adrienne Bernadel and Simon St. Albord of Port-au-Prince. She was raised in Haiti and moved to Brooklyn in the 1970s, where she lived until her passing.
Ghislaine worked at a glass factory and was an aide at a school for students with disabilities. While in good health, she loved to dance, was a fantastic cook of Haitian cuisine, and often took long walks. Ghislaine was steadfast in her Catholic faith and attended Sacred Heart Church in Haiti and Holy Cross Church in Brooklyn for many years.
Ghislaine was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters (Nicole St. Albord, Simone St. Albord, and Yola Bernadel), one brother (Yves St. Albord), two nephews (Ti Yves St. Albord and Evey Bernadel), and a niece (Marsha Bernadel). Ghislaine is survived by two sons, Jerry Dominique (Virginia) and Vladimir Piverger (Brooklyn), two daughters-in-law, Monisha R Stringfield (Virginia) and Mary Lynn Piverger (Brooklyn), and four grandchildren, Jasir Ethan and Morgan Jay Dominique (Virginia), and Makel Andrew and Haley Anna Piverger (Brooklyn) and several nieces and nephews.
