Eula P. Webb Obituary

We gather to celebrate the life of Eula Pearl Hollimon Webb who entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 18th, 2024 at the age of 102.  Eula was born on the 25th day of November in the year of 1921, the only child of William Hollimon and Annie Shank Paschel, in Ohio.

Eula grew up during the Great Depression, and often spoke of growing up as an only child of mixed heritage in a middle-class community.  It was most likely during that time that she developed her love for riding horses. She often told stories of Annie taking her to the racetrack.  Eula had a love for cowboys.  You could always find her watching her cowboy programs while enjoying a late-night snack.

Eula was a graduate of Central High School in Columbus, Ohio. Eula Pearl Hollimon Webb’s life took a significant turn when she married Eddie Webb on October 13th, 1940, in Franklin County, Ohio.  Together, they embarked on a journey across the United States, finally settling in Brooklyn, New York.  It was in Brooklyn that she formed a lifelong friendship with Mr. and Mrs. Hays and their beautiful daughter Linda.  Linda became part of the family as a beloved daughter.

Eula was a dedicated employee who worked for many years at Telco Service Industries Inc. at the World Trade Center.  She spent years traveling through different states discovering the outside world. She made sure she brought back a plate that had each state's location on it as a souvenir to hang on her legendary wall.  She hung them with pride to remind her of her adventurous years of travel.

Everyone knew Eula was a marvelous designer.  Her style and crafty sewing skills were extraordinary, as she was always impeccably dressed. Vogue had nothing on the skills she possessed!  From the intricate details on towels, pillows, and curtains, to the custom-designed clothes she made for friends and family generations.  Even her home was a seasonal showpiece, giving you a warm and loving welcome.  Eula’s arms were always open and ready to fill you with love, sense, and laughter.  She was a mother to everyone with whom she came in contact, pouring her love into them. She surely had a green thumb! Her love for nature showed with the plants and flowers she had inside and outside the house. We can truly say the Lord blessed her hands in many ways, as Eula was known for her famous Sock-it-to-Me cake, sweet potato pies, and apple cobbler. Her grandchildren cherished her annual Easter yard cakes.  Eula was a caring, loving, generous soul.

She was a devoted woman of Faith, an avid follower of the Lord faithfully watching The Ministry of Dr. Fred Faith every Sunday. She was a gentle-spoken woman, full of Godly wisdom and mother-wit with such a contagious smile that would brighten up the room!  It was not hard to see how bright her light shined.  She always enjoyed reading, especially her Bible.

Eula was predeceased by her son Ronald L. Webb, Ronald’s father Roy Ramsey, and her grandson Malcolm-Ali Webb.  She leaves to celebrate her life, her children: Eddie Webb, Jr. (and his wife Victoria Leftenant Webb), Selina Webb Warden (and her husband William Warden), and Nannette Webb Powell (and her husband Michael Powell); a daughter-in-law Cynthia Webb-McGarity; her grandchildren: Nicole, Nicholas, Billy (and his wife Renée), Christopher, Jonathan, Omar, Koron (and his wife Jasmine), Alisha (and her husband Trumaine), Crystal, and Brittany; her great-grandchildren: Amell, Jaeden, Kyjuan, Daniyla, Shaniya, Kourtney, Kelvin, Kamari, Nasir, Arielle, Khennon, Khari, Koron-Omar, Jasmine, Jakaya, Jamarion, Khalil, Trinity, and Jeremiah; a soon-expected great-great grandson, Kior Ron Ali Webb; along with her niece Catherine; nephew Vernon; great-grandniece Tamika; and a host of other family members, close friends, and associates … Amen!
