Ernestina 'Tina" Giscombe Obituary

Ernestina Romina Giscombe, affectionately called “Tina”, was born on November 15, 1964 to (the late) Ernesto Heriberto Giscombe and Claudette Loretta Greaves de Giscombe, in Colòn, Republic of Panama.  An Angel was dispatched to call Tina home on Palm Sunday, April 5, 2020.

Tina attended Universidad USMA -- Class of 1979.  She migrated to the United States in February 2007.  For over twelve years, Tina worked at Wendy’s Restaurant as a Manager, then she went to work for Heritage Human Services with a passion to help mentally-challenged people reach their goals.

Tina received the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, and was a devoted member of Gospel Truth Church under the leadership of The Rev. Dr. José Whyte.  She loved to worship, magnify and glorify the Lord. She was a passionate prayer warrior, and could lead you to the throne of grace in both English and Spanish.  You could see the joy on her face when she worshipped, and she opened her prayer with “All To Jesus I Surrender”.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her three loving and devoted children: Antonio Wilson, Jr., Claudette L. Frank (and her husband Guillermo Butcher), and Aura K. Mejia de Burkett (and her husband Damaso Burkett); six grandchildren: Shunorris J. Wilson, Ayana N. Wilson, Tichalkies A. Frank, Joseph A. Frank, Guillermo G. Butcher and Alexis Y. Burkett; two siblings: Erlinda R. Mitchell (and her husband Shyanne Mitchell) and Ernesto H. Giscombe (and his wife Dequander Giscombe); three nephews: Kashief, Khalid and Noah; one niece Nevaeha; four uncles: Wilbert, Bob, Thilbert and Roberto; six aunts: Norma, Yvonne, Mercedes, Teresa, Naomi and Diana (whom Tina affectionately called her Mom); several great-aunts, great-uncles, godchildren, and a host of cousins, church family and friends.

To all who knew and loved Tina, she was a God-loving woman.  She was compassionate, the life of the party, a comedian, a “fashionista”, and a family person who believed in always protecting her loved ones.  Tina was full of life!  Her smile touched many lives during her time with us. We all loved her, but God loved her best!
