Debbie Perry Obituary

Debbie Ann Perry, daughter of (the late) Elarkin Perry and Elanor Perry Banks, was born on March 6, 1960 at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. She departed this life on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, New York.

Debbie, also known to family and friends as “BeBe”, received her formal education in public Intermediate School 71.  From there, she went to Eastern District High School.  Debbie was a member of Open Door Church of God in Christ under the leadership of (the late) Pastor, Elder Jerry Burns.

In 1985, she went to work for New York City Housing Authority as an Elevator Operator, which she did for a few years before switching over to a Caretaker for Housing.  Debbie was big on family; she believed in treating people like she wanted them to treat her.  She loved gospel music. Her favorite was “One Day At A Time” and “Going Up Yonder”.  Enjoying Tyrone Davis and other oldies but goodies, she would start the party off in a minute!!! Debbie loved to go to Atlantic City, Vegas, and spent alot of her time in Colorado.

Debbie leaves to cherish her memory, her four children: Jermaine Perry, Kimalee Perry, Mark Perry and Erica Perry (all from Brooklyn, New York); five grandchildren: Devone Fludd, Marques Perry, Peyton Perry, Aniya Perry and Chase Liverman; two sisters: Linda Northern and Elaine Coleman; two brothers: Matt and John Coston; one godson Isiah Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and so many friends.
