Davaughnn Richardson Obituary

DaVaughnn David Richardson was born December 15, 1985. He was the third son of Cheryl Ann Richardson's "starting 5" boys. He was born in Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. As a child, DaVaughnn loved spending time in his grandmother's home and playing with friends. He was educated in New York City Public School system and later finished his studies by receiving a diploma in Hospitality Management.

DaVaughnn played many sports growing up but basketball was his favorite. DaVaughnn had a passion for basketball that expanded into a love for basketball socks. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and started a successful clothing line - Von Lee Apparel. He loved playing video games and was researching to become a streamer. He had future plans of opening a lounge and hotel using his experience as a doorman and building maintenance. He loved the idea of being able to give jobs to others. He dreamed of becoming wealthy enough to help other people in a more impactful way, and did so by becoming an organ donor. DaVaughnn was very funny, smart, and witty. He brought asmile to many. Everyone he met loved him and he cared very deeply for all of the people in his life whether he saw them daily or not often. He spent his last years building a life with his special partner, Katie Brifta.

On the evening of Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, DaVaughnn passed away at the age of 36, joining his mother and grandparents in the afterlife. He leaves behind his only son Isaiah, his brothers: Lateef Richardson, William (Rebecca) Bogle, Stanley Washington, Matthew Richardson, his chosen brothers Matthew Valencia, William Valencia, and Devon Martinez, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
