We remember Barbara Denise Pitchford- Creque, whose spirit departed from us on June 11th, 2024. A true friend and sweet mother, she leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. Barbara was the daughter of Lottie Taylor and Maryland Pitchford, born on October 26th, 1964, in Henderson, North Carolina. Barbara was the youngest of six children, and she along with her family moved to New York City where she grew and knew to be home. Barbara went on to obtain her associates degree as well as attend business school to learn insurance underwriting to begin her career as an underwriting assistant. Barbara’s true passion in life was being a devoted wife and mother. Meeting her husband Jose in 1983 after graduating high school, they remained inseparable for the remainder of each of their lives. Marrying in 1988 and having two beautiful children, Joseph and Jasmine. 

Barbara’s life was filed with happiness, family time and making special moments for her husband and children. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most; offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family & all who encountered her. Barbara is reunited in Heaven with her soulmate Jose; and she is survived by her daughter Jasmine and son Joseph.
