Michelle Pia Small passed away on October 1, 2019 at her home in Brooklyn, NY of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension after an eighteen year battle with scleroderma. She was 49 years old.
Michelle was born February 9, 1970 to her parents Ernest Fitzroy Small and Vitalina Mercedes Small. After high school, Michelle graduated from Baruch College and began a long career as an administrator and representative for Human Resources at various firms in the financial industry. She worked in this capacity for many years until she became physically unable to work.
Michelle was a great and devoted daughter, sister, godmother, and friend. She was blessed with a large and loving circle of family and friends that enjoyed her spirit, humor, and her passion for life and fun.
She was an avid fan of classic movies, loved Soca music, tennis and soccer. She also loved traveling and beautiful beaches as well as being known for her keen sense of fashion. Those who knew Michelle will never forget her great spirit and vitality.
Michelle Pia Small is predeceased by her father Ernest Small. She survived by her mother, Vitalina Small; her siblings, Ronald Small and Gene Small; and her god-children Rasheeda Alexander Brown and Joshua Lovell.
