Anthony Maurice Smith, adopted son of (the late) Julia Elizabeth Chandler Smith and Warren Lawrence Smith, was born on May 15, 1961 in Onancock (Accomack County), Virginia. He was raised in Brooklyn, New York from the age of three.
Anthony graduated from Canarsie High School and later attended New York City Technical College in Brooklyn to study Electrical Engineering. He was also blessed with the gift of carpentry. Through this, he possessed the ability to craft masterpieces with his bare hands.
Anthony first met his childhood sweetheart, Ivy Teresa Fraizer, in the summer of 1980. They married in 1992, and through this bond they had a son, Christopher.
Out of all of his talents, Anthony’s biggest passion was his music. He was dubbed “Biggs" by his son, and later used this to establish himself within the DJ community as “Mr. Bigg". As a result of his quality mixes on Soundcloud, he obtained a show on the internet radio “Sessions".
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his wife Ivy; his son Christopher; two sisters-in-law, a brother in-law, his aunt and uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and fans.
