Alexander Williams was born on June 5, 1939 to Hester Lynch and Pledge Williams in Halifax, North Carolina. He attended Westinghouse High School in Brooklyn, New York. He was married to his loving late wife Patricia Elaine Williams on November 28, 1991 in Brooklyn. After attending high school, Alexander held many jobs working as a truck driver, later retiring from Key Food Supermarket.
He was a quick-witted person who loved telling jokes. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching “NCSI” and “The Big Bang Theory” -- even the re-runs. He also enjoyed playing his Lotto (midday and evening), and scratching his winning tickets while sitting on the stoop with his late wife and greeting his neighbors. He also loved caring for his youngest grandson Nixon (“BooBoo”), and visiting with his great- grandchildren -- Nike, Tank and Nya.
He was a devoted husband to his wife Patricia; he visited her and cared for her almost every day while she was in the hospital. He was a loving father and grandfather, and a surrogate father to those in need.
Alexander represented the true meaning of a Dad: (1) Father, Guardian, Protector, Caregiver, Friend (2) Teacher, Mentor, Coach, Taskmaster, Listener (3) King of corny jokes, Driver, Provider, Part-Time Fun Guy, Part-Time Policeman (4) Tough on the outside, soft in the middle (5) Best Dad anyone could ask for.
